A Methodist church of more than a century and a half, now a steakhouse.
The Building

and a bell tower.
The church was built of local stone and stood on this corner of Main Street for more than a hundred and fifty years before it became a restaurant. The bell tower, the pointed arches and the stained glass all survived the conversion.
Walk up the steps under the awning and the first thing you see is the glass block and the chandelier. Everything past that point is the original shell of the church, put to a different use.

The Main Dining Room
The old sanctuary is now the dining room. It seats one hundred and twenty under the vaulted ceiling, with the stained glass down both walls and a painted mural filling the arch at the far end.
Two pieces of the church are still in daily use. The bench seating down one side of the room is the original pews, and the host stand at the top of the stairs is the pulpit the sermons were given from.
This is where the full steakhouse menu is served, Thursday through Sunday evenings. It is also the room most people ask for when they book a party.
The Arch
The mural.
The gilded arch at the head of the room frames a painted scene of a hunt, lit from a chandelier hung on a long chain from the peak of the ceiling. It is the first thing guests photograph and the last thing they forget.
The ceiling above it is painted as sky, and the uplighting changes through the evening, so the room is never quite the same color twice.

In the middle of New Hope
South Main Street runs down to the Delaware and the bridge across to Lambertville. The Bucks County Playhouse, the Logan Inn and the towpath are all within a few minutes on foot, which is why most of our tables either start or finish an evening somewhere else on the same street.
Valet parking is available behind the Logan Inn for a fee, and there is metered parking and public lots along Main Street.
